About the Artist:
I sign and date all my work by etching into the glass in the lower right corner.
I have worked with designing and constructing unique works of stained glass art for over 40 years. My designs are influenced by places I have lived from the mid west to the southwest. With over 1000 images on my website and hundreds of pieces in Visions Gallery I have many in stock and available for immediate shipping.
Additionally, I have have been sought after as a master of stained glass restoration from church windows to residential pieces.
In the gallery I also sell a full line of stained glass supplies with a wide variety of glass.
If shipping is required I personally take great care with the packaging. Over the years I have shipped to over 30 states in the U.S. and a number of countries. I use wood crates which are custom made with wood and to ensure safe transport I use plenty of internal packing materials for larger pieces. Smaller items such as this Stained Glass panel will be double boxed with ample padding for shipping.

Type of Glass
The clear textured glass in the background is called “Taffeta”. This texture resembles the fabric also called Taffeta. The glass allows light in but gives privacy for an entrance. The swirls in the clear glass mimic the lines in the flower itself. Picking the right glass for the design is one of Carolyn’s strong points. The leaves are made with colored GNA (German Antique) which is unfortunately no longer being produced, and there is nothing on the market today that matches its quality and beauty.
Copper Foil Technique used with 60/40 lead. A dark patina has been applied to the lead which makes the design “pop”. The frame is made with 1/4 inch zinc channel. Hanging hooks are incorporated into the frame and soldered into place. When you receive the panel, attach chain or fishing line to the hooks depending on the look you desire.
