Description
This stained glass blue box is 9 inches long and 3.25 inches tall with a width of 2.5 inches. It is made with spectrum blue and white wispy opalescent glass. The handle of the box is a piece of fused glass which overlaps the edge of the box to make it easy to open. It is hinged and has brass ball feet which are soldered to the lead lines on the bottom of the box.
You don’t often see fused glass together with stained glass, which is just another example of how unique Carolyn’s’ work is.
She refers to this as a “pencil box”, but there are many other possible uses. Boxes make great gifts too.
